Valerie Wright Founder of the Foundation of Miracles
In Atlanta Metro, food insecurity has risen by 76%, adding strain to families amidst inflation. Despite closures like a 35-year-old pantry, Foundation Of Miracles stepped up, pledging to serve an additional 50,000+ individuals. Founder Valerie Wright, driven by urgency, calls for support, urging donations and subscription sign-ups to expand their capacity. They aim to raise $2 million for a central warehouse to better serve their community.
After witnessing the untimely passing of my ex-mother-in-law, who battled severe mental health issues, I felt compelled to take action. Despite her ability to function professionally, she silently grappled with mental health challenges, highlighting the stigma and cultural biases that hinder open conversations and seeking help.
We Offer appended two Services:
Offering vital assistance, our My Wellness pantry service guarantees every family in the Atlanta Metro Area facing food insecurity access to nourishing meals, promoting a brighter and healthier future, including mental health support. Attaining mental well-being is facilitated when hunger is addressed.

The Foundation Of Miracles rose to the occasion, committing to assist over 50,000 more individuals after a 35-year-old food pantry shut down. Urged by the Founder Valerie Wright’s sense of urgency, they seek support through donations and subscription sign-ups to enhance their capabilities. Their goal is to raise $2 million for a central warehouse to improve community service.
“My food stamp application was rejected by Defax, citing that I earn too much money. However, the reality is, I don’t earn enough to adequately feed myself and my three children. Despite Defax’s denial, My Wellness Pantry filled my freezer, a blessing from God.”

After witnessing the untimely passing of my ex-mother-in-law, who battled severe mental health issues, I felt compelled to take action. Despite her ability to function professionally, she silently grappled with mental health challenges, highlighting the stigma and cultural biases that hinder open conversations and seeking help.
Driven by this experience, I founded the Pantry of Miracles. While initially focused on raising awareness and education about mental health, I recognized the immediate need to support families facing food insecurity, especially in underserved communities.
Pantry of Miracles aims to provide essential assistance, including food, clothing, and household items, to families struggling to make ends meet. Our mission is rooted in the belief that by addressing basic needs, we can create a pathway to healing and hope for those in need.
“It is difficult to focus on your mental health when you’re hungry”

Since accommodating an additional 50,000 individuals, My Wellness Pantry lacks the space for direct food distribution. We are currently fundraising to secure more space. Instead, we distribute food to our partners across Atlanta and surrounding areas. Each partner has its own distribution hours. Please visit our homepage [link] for more information and reach out to them to find the best time for you to access food.
Every one of our distribution partners has established guidelines regarding the frequency of food assistance. Our aim is to guarantee that no family in need goes hungry. Please don’t hesitate to reach out; our partners are committed to ensuring you receive the food you require.
Every distribution partner has its own documentation requirements in place. Please contact the distribution center nearest to you for specifics. The majority of our partners do not require any documentation. Given the 76% rise in food insecurity in the Atlanta Metro area, particularly affecting working families due to inflation, if you express a need for food, we will fulfill it without any questions asked.
Indeed, please inform the distribution center you’re visiting about any allergies and specific items you cannot receive.
At present, we provide complimentary food and mental health support services. Our future goals include expanding to offer housing and utility assistance, potentially by 2025 or earlier. Stay informed about our evolving services by signing up for our email list. We’ll keep you updated on our offerings as they develop.
We deeply value our volunteers! To volunteer, please use the provided link to complete the volunteer application. Certain positions may necessitate a background check. We are currently looking for volunteers for various roles including Food Distribution, Food Pickup Services (Forklift-certified), Grant Writers, Social Media Managers, Event Coordinators, and Event Assistants.
Certainly, if you require food, please refer to our partner distribution schedule to access it.
